Cyber Security Awareness Campaign — SSD Academy, Cox's Bazar

The launch session of SSD Youth Foundation's Cyber Security Awareness Campaign, held at SSD Academy, built foundational awareness among 30 youth participants on scams, phishing, and Facebook security.

SSD Youth Foundation successfully held the launch session of its Cyber Security Awareness Campaign for Youth at SSD Academy, Cox's Bazar, under the campaign theme Think Before You Click. The session responded to a reality facing almost every young internet user today: one wrong click, one careless link, or one mishandled social media account can expose someone to Facebook hacking, online scams, phishing, identity cloning, cyberbullying, or data theft — risks that students, madrasah learners, and general internet users face disproportionately simply because cyber-safety knowledge hasn't reached them yet.

The SSD Academy session built foundational awareness around these exact risks: spotting online scams and phishing attempts, understanding Facebook security settings, and recognizing the basics of safe, responsible digital behavior. As the first session under the campaign and the organization's own training home, it also marked the starting point for a wider rollout — the same curriculum, delivered interactively and practically, would go on to reach students and community members across Cox's Bazar's schools, technical institutes, madrasahs, and partner training centers.

30 participants took part in this opening session, carrying forward SSD Youth Foundation's core message to their peers and communities: stay safe, stay aware, and always think before you click.
