On May 18, 2026, Step-Up Skill Development Academy (SSD Academy) officially launched the "Tailoring and Dress Making, Level-2" training program at Tajbidul Quran Madrasa & Orphanage in Morichya, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.

Implemented under the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) ISEC Project and funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), this flagship initiative is tailored to empower 40 promising female Qawmi madrasa graduates with industry-relevant, BNQF-aligned technical expertise.

To bridge the gap between classroom learning and sustainable economic inclusion, the initiative also establishes an on-site, self-sustaining TDM Production Centre. This allows participants to transition immediately into production, enterprise, and income-generating activities.

The inaugural event witnessed active participation and encouragement from ILO representatives, the Madrasa Management Committee, local community leaders, and consortium partners, including Reliance Technical Institute (RTI) and Sharif Technical Training Institute (STTI). SSD Academy extends its sincere gratitude to all partners and stakeholders committed to fostering inclusive technical education and women's economic independence in Cox's Bazar.
